November 20th is National Child Day. It's also known as World Children's Day, championed by UNICEF. Children's human rights were officially recognized at the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989.
All throughout the year, we uplift our students, giving them the confidence to be themselves, achieve their goals, and know that they matter. Learning opportunities such as today help empower them to know their rights. As all children have these same rights, they will know to treat their peers with respect and stand up for one another if need be.
