Governance Plan
The LMG, through the Listuguj Education, Employment and Training (LETE) directorate, is engaged in a Governance Initiative. In 2016, the LMG passed a motion to“review existing education governance structures in Listuguj (vision, mission, and principles) of the [Listuguj Education Directorate] LED, [Listuguj Mi’gmaq Development Council] LMDC, and the [First Nation Regional Adult Education Center] FNRAEC with the objective of creating a single governance structure for education
The long-term objective is to create an ‘Education Law’, along with an Authority, for the management and administration of education programs and services founded on Mi’gmaq-based standards for schooling.
